The development of our Form Rolling process
Estimated beginnings of form rolling are placed in Eastern Europe around the early 1960’s. Although cost savings were readily apparent from successes in hot rolling, the technology was not yet refined to form roll under cold working conditions. Some deep, wide grooves being displayed in subsequent years were actually heated with a torch and rolled one at a time on a thread roller. Cold rolled parts with deep, wide grooves could not match the quality of more traditional cut grooves.

Taking into consideration any high production symmetrical item the cost savings and speed of production made form rolling an attractive option for many manufacturing applications.

Having been in designing of high-speed automatic machinery for over thirty years we have had occasion to hire known experts in this field to try to solve various form rolling problems. These known experts could not solve the technical problems and could not provide us a satisfactory solution.

We then spent four years and thousands of man-hours, working through countless failures, before finding the answers to rolling a part to print, perfecting the quality of grooves demanded by industry... deep, wide grooves with sharp inner edges and elimination of piping and growth bands that were always objectionable.

This was accomplished using an ingenious counter-intuitive process that uses an approach which is totally different from conventional wisdom. We know of no one who is rolling parts with our quality without our technology.

This Form Rolling technolgy was developed to give businesses a substantial savings on manufacturing and material. Today our technology has proven capabilities of high productivity and significant cost savings. Form rolling opens unlimited vistas for shapes beyond common threads, knurls, and points.
